Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for its 3.5th anniversary next month. This time, Niantic is bringing back some nostalgic gadgets in the game. The celebration is kicking off with a new event starting May 1st, 2025.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has thrown a lot of fun decor our way, like Pikmin wearing Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, Pikmin Bloom is bringing the classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s.
They’re also adding a Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin. It’s a nod to Nintendo’s roots when they were making playing cards before video games came into the picture. The designs of these cards are based on Nintendo’s old-school playing card decks.
The event runs from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, giving you a full month to dive into the missions and pick up cool new Pikmin. Every time you clear an Event Challenge mission, you get random rewards like Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin and flower petals.
Meanwhile, the Brilliant Mushrooms will pop up during the event. Smashing these gives you Mystery Boxes with stuff like Game Button Cells, flower petals and other items. Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are the best at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
The May flowers can bloom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses if you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There’s also a nectar update, so that fruit from mushrooms during May will give you nectar for regular flowers. It also works for any of the special ones like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
There are lots of other stuff happening too, like Community Day. Get Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and gear up for the 3.5th anniversary.
